Reluctant Readers

As some of you know, I am the voice behind Reluctant Readers, a weekly newsletter that goes out to parents and carers of reluctant readers.

Here, we not only delve into the importance of reading to children from a young age, but also offer guidance, insights, strategies and advice to parents and carers as they strive to encourage their reluctant readers.

There are many reasons why children can develop a reluctance to read. These can vary from a lack of interest, concentration, patience, or literacy skills to more in-depth needs such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, visual and hearing impairments, and other diagnosed or undiagnosed needs.

At Reluctant Readers, I draw on my knowledge and experiences from working with primary stage children who needed extra-curricular support in literacy, to give simple step-by-step guidance and advice that will help you encourage your children to read from an early age and as they progress through primary school.

Our newsletters are intentionally short and manageable, and designed to fit with busy family life.

I am also proud to say that these newsletter have also been sponsored by Netflix.
