14th November 2018 – School visit – Royal School of Dunkeld
I am looking forward to seeing everyone again at RSD and reading my latest picture book to Nursery and Primary 1. This is a school visit with a difference as I will also be officially opening their new Early Years Library!
17th November 2018 – Waterstones, Stirling, 11am to 12:30pm
As an early kick-start to Scottish Book Week I’ll be back in Waterstones Stirling, but this time with The Fairy in the Kettle’s Christmas Wish. As always there will be fairy colouring and crafts.
17th November 2018 – Waterstones, Braehead, 2.30pm – 3.30pm
Delighted to be returning but, this time I will be reading The Fairy in the Kettle’s Christmas Wish. Colouring sheets and wing decorating will, of course, follow.
21st November 2018 – Read-a-Licious Book Festival
As part of Scottish Book Week I will be at The Eastgate Theatre in Peebles reading to pupils from local primary schools. Primaries 2 to 4 will be asking me everything they would like to know about writing/structuring a story, working with and finding an illustrator/publisher, how books eventually end up on book shelves and the working life of an author.
23rd November 2018 – NCTeenies, Perth
Continuing with Scottish Book Week this is an event with a difference. I will be reading to pre-school children from one to five years and am looking forward to the different age groups. With a passion for getting children reading, it’s never too early to start encouraging the world of books and storytelling. Fairy colouring will be a must at this event.
24th November 2018 – Birnam Book Festival 10am – 11am
I am delighted to be part of this brand new book festival and will be in Potter’s Junction at Birnam Arts with The Fairy in the Kettle’s Christmas Wish. There will, of course, be fairy colouring and crafts. This is sure to be a fun event in lovely surroundings.
24th November 2018 – Children’s Christmas Book Festival at Waterstones, Dunfermline 2pm – 3pm
I am delighted to be returning again this year as this was a lot of fun last year. I will be reading The Fairy in the Kettle’s Christmas Wish followed by fairy colouring and christmassy crafts. A lovely end to my Scottish Book Week events!
1st Decmeber 2018 – Edinburgh Central Library 11am – 12pm
I am looking forward to returning to read the second book in this series, The Fairy in the Kettle’s Christmas Wish. The children’s section of the library is brilliant for these events so come along and, after hearing the story, join in the christmassy crafts.
1st Decmeber 2018 – Waterstones, Princes Street, Edinburgh 1.30pm
I am looking forward to returning to read my latest picture book. Events here are always fun and, as always, the readings will be followed by fairy colouring and crafts.
2nd Decmeber 2018 – Autumn Fest, Geilsland Estate, Beith 11am – 3pm
If you are not yet in the festive mood then this event looks sure to put you there. With festive crafts, stalls and food this is an event for the whole family. Come along and hear my stories, I will be reading throughout the day, and join in fairy colouring and christmassy crafts.
3rd Decmeber 2018 – School visit – Blair Atholl Primary School
I am lucky enough to be returning to read my latest picture book to Nursery & P1-3. These visits are always fun and I am looking forward to answering all the pupils writing questions.
5th Decmeber 2018 – School visit – Stanley Primary School
I am looking forward to returning to Stanley Primary, this time to read The Fairy in the Kettle’s Christmas Wish. They had brilliant questions to ask last time around and I am looking forward to hearing what they come up with during this visit.
8th Decmeber 2018 – Waterstones, Aviemore 10.30am -11.30am
I am hoping to see snow on the Cairngorms as I head a little further north for this event. I will be reading my latest picture book and I have promised wing making but I am also looking forward to chatting with the slightly older children who will be attending the stores book club from 11.30 that morning. Lots of booky fun and chat!
15th Decmeber 2018 – Waterstones, Oban 1pm
This event will take me over to the west coast. My latest ‘christmassy’ picture book will be an ideal read so close to Christmas and I will also be bringing along the usual fairy colouring and other crafts. A lovely way to spend an afternoon so close to Christmas.
